We tackle the most immediate threat to a child’s life: the inability to access and afford treatment. In Kenya, the financial shock of a cancer diagnosis can be catastrophic, leading to an estimated 54% treatment abandonment rate. We are the critical safety net that prevents this.
Health Insurance Premiums
We are the reason over 450 children per month can walk into a public hospital and receive life-saving chemotherapy, surgery, and hospitalization. By covering their National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) and now Social Health Authority (SHA) premiums, we ensure the financial gate to the hospital is always open.
Holistic Family Support
We are the warm, nutritious meal that helps a child's body withstand harsh treatment. We are the safe, cost-free accommodation at 1 Hope House* for families who must travel vast distances. We are the *transportation aid* that covers a bus fare to the next appointment, ensuring no treatment is missed due to logistics.
