We conduct a range of programs dedicated to our mission of ensuring access to care, knowledge & resources for every child affected.

Health Insurance Program

We have a program that enrolls parents in the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) to ensure that a child's cancer treatment is covered by the national insurance scheme, relieving families of the financial burden of cancer treatment.

Patient Navigation

We assist coordinating family accommodation and hospital visits logistics during cancer treatment cycles to provide families with a comfortable and supportive environment, reducing the stress of hospital visits and allowing them to focus on their child's treatment and recovery.

Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization (ACSM)

We perform Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization (ACSM) activities to raise awareness about childhood cancer, advocate for the needs of children with cancer and their families, and mobilize support and resources to improve the quality of care and treatment.

Psychosocial Support

We provides avenues for psychosocial support to children with cancer and their families, including counseling services, support groups, and other resources to help them cope with the emotional and psychological challenges of cancer diagnosis and treatment.

We run a volunteer coordination program that supports a variety of volunteer roles, including Event Volunteers, Admin Volunteers, Program Volunteers, and Committee Volunteers (Fundraising Committee, PR & Marketing, Finance, Campaign Planning).

  • 15 Children, 1 Year NHIF Cover Support - KES 90,000
  • HCK T-shirt (Kids & Adults) - KES 1,500
  • 1 Patient Navigation (Transport, Accommodation, Food) - KES 10,000

HCK’s treatment support program has benefited over 600 children to access to quality childhood cancer treatment since January 2016. This is made possible by raising funds to pay National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) for every child at KES 6,000 per year, besides other cost involved in treatment such as patient navigation. Due to the rise in childhood cancer cases, HCK faces a tremendous challenge in providing support for all the children in need.

In this light, we have introduced Adopt a Child program inviting You and corporates to join HCK in raising funds to pay NHIF for the affected children. You are welcome to contribute through any of these packages:
